Ok, I recently bought two 1985 ATC 125M's. They came as a pair. They both run great. I took mine through a creek near my house and sucked water into the crankcase somehow. Anyway, I drained the bad oil immediately and flushed a quart of good oil through it, then I put in the correct amount of 30 wt. oil. Ever since then the engine smokes badly. I don't think it is the rings, because it only started after I got water in the oil. I did the same thing again(sucked water into the oil). Then the smoking got even worse. I drained the oil and haven't even bothered with it. If I were to run some high quality oil in the bike, would the smoking stop or even decrease? Also what is the best wt oil to use? I live in Florida where it is generally pretty warm.
