200X Mods..

I have a stock '83 200X except for a Cobra pipe and I was wondering what kind of things I could do to it to give it a bit more pep!!.. I know that there is a mod out there that has something to do with an XR200 but I have no idea what year XR is needed or what parts for that matter. I would like to give it 6 speeds vice the 5 that are there stock. WHat could be done someones got to know. Thanks all...

My 200x is time for a rebuild, while Im at it I am planning on hopping it up some also. I just got a ported head, and an rpm cam off of ebay. I am also planning on getting a 12:1 piston, bigger carb, aftermarket exhaust and possibly the xr 6 speed tranny. I am pretty sure the gears from a 1981-83 xr will work. If you get a chance talk to T-Dup. He has all ready done the swap and I think he thinks perty highly of it.

Mine has a ported head, oversize valves, wiseco 10-1/4 piston, ported intake, kerker pipe, rejetted carb, uni filter and a 14 tooth sprocket. Runs like a raped ape! Surprised many quads 300-500cc.
