How can you shine up faded plastic? Do you use sandpaper or something?

I know that WD-40 really cleans up the plastic. You'll have to talk to some of the other guys about it but I think you can use a real fine wet sandpaper and lightly sand it and use WD-40 to shine them up.

I like to use use a series of increasingly finer grades of sandpaper. If it's really bad I start with 220, otherwise I start with 320, then 400, 600, 1000, and 1500. Then I use a little rubbing compound (scratch-X works fine) and a high speed buffing wheel. They tend to turn out really nice, but it takes a long time.

A torch also brings alittle bit of color back to stress marks on plastics. Be careful not to melt the plastic though.
