I'm new to 3 wheelers and am currently shopping online for tires for my 200s. Do I need to go with 2 ply since I have no rear suspension? Also a lil worried about poking holes in a 2 ply. I will ride in the woods alot. Also I do mostly trail riding but I sometimes encounter mud so I'm
undecided on going with a knobby or sticking with the chevron type tread. It currently has a nankang pro-am on the front and cheng shin chevrons on the back. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Chris

The 2 ply tires are softer and provide some cushion to the ride..the stand up well in most riding conditions and don't puncture easily..the tread patterns are limited, mostly knobby which don't do well in mud..

In the heavier ply tires, tread pattern choices are endless. Lot of agressive treads for nearly every terrain..however little ride cushion from these tires.

So the question is? Since your trike has no near suspension, can your back handle the abuse of a heavier tire to gain the benefit if the extra tread choices?

Do not buy Carslisle trail pro's or else you will me very disappointed in the ride and the traction in the mud. Plus if you tell us about them you will most likley get hung be the forum members. The only good thing about them is they are damn near bomb proof.

GO with Scorpions 22x11x8, soft nobb tire. good for trails, good grip, & awesosme for dirt drifting.

AMS Fox A/T are good tires.....pretty cheap too. Around 50/each.

I'd stick with the soft 2 plys since it doesn't have rear suspension. There is a reason that Honda put those tires on there for that bike. Just my 2 cents.
