What's the shift sequence for a 1981 Honda 185s?
Is it, I press down the petal to shift up? Or down one, and up the rest? Or what the common sence would be, lift the lever up to shift up.
For an 81 185s it is all down for gears 1-5 and all up for gears 5-N

It is confusing, especially when you hop off something that shifts up and get on a trike that shifts all down lol

Showing my age but when I started riding, British bikes had the shifter on the right side.
Talk about excitement!
Nice to know where the brake actually IS in a pinch.
Make sure your shift lever is not loose on the shift shaft.
I had a thought that they changed them to 'up' shift so people wouldn't
STOMP on the poor little things to get into gear, and strip them so bad.
or maybe people wouldn't shift them by accident when they got on them
while they were idling in neutral and put it in first.
I left mine in gear, idling and going nowhere but when I got off the thing,
my foot hit the throttle and I ran my(stupid)self over.
