Hello, I just ordered new sprockets for my x, royal distributing said they did not have a listing for the 85, so they ordered 86 front/rear sprockets for me.

I just read a thread saying that the rear sprocket is different, is this true? Will the 86 sprocket work with my 85?

I'm pretty sure the fronts are the same, right?

Need to know before i have to pay for one that doesn't even fit! And royal sucks for returns.... Thanks a lot guys.

This is the thread I read. http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthread.php?125659-What-are-the-differance-between-85-86-honda-350x&p=975187#post975187

They are different back sprockets. If you want to run the '86 rear you have to use the '86 bolts which are impossible to find sometimes. If you can find the bolts use the '86 setup because you can run a new billet carrier with the '86 setup. Later down the road if you want to use a new billet carrier you will have to switch to the '86 style anyways. The fronts are the same.

I have a set of them, I can't use them on my 250r. They are too long to use.

if you have your stock 85 bearing carrier, just turn the sprocket around so the bevel is facing against the hub...
