My 1st questions after seeing the thread was..WHY, a 185, really?? But after looking at the pics..I get it.

185s never turned my crank..wouldn't even give them a second look.

You've made me a fan..want to see it done, definitely post some video.

Other than the obvious fact that the trike is bad azz, what is the purpose of the dual exhaust? Does it help with performance?

I love it! Years ago I bought a suspended 200 frame. I copied everything and built a 185 frame. I've got a plastic tank, super nice fenders and seat (blue cover), and 200x front end for it. I also have a line on an XL185 engine. I need to get on it again. Do you happen to have a close up pic of how the swing arm mounts to the frame? I don't really care how it is set up on my suspended 200 and I'd like to do something better on the 185.

ok i wanted it to be quiet and since i couldn't use the stock muffler i cut it apart to see where the bottle neck was,, the turbine core in front of the spark aresstor was it,, so rather than modify it i figured twice as many would help it breath, ,,, so i built a muffler with baffles in it like a flowmaster car muffler, it should be quiet and legal .... this trike will be a chase trike for the mass 70 rides coming i am going to build a suspended trailer to haul gas tools food and supplies we are going to start exploring the old ghost towns and what better way that a 70? don't need to go fast or tear up the country,, just get there and back,,, oh yeah i added this today...

Kasey,

I may not know you, we may never meet. However you set inspiration and the statment "What can be done". So far what you have done is beautiful and I cannot wait to see the end result. Keep up the good work and always remember....... It's not what we think....... It's how you feel about what you are building. Bikes like this are like art or a sculpture, just the artist expressing themself.

Keep up the great work and please feel free to share.
