Hey guys I'm brand new to the forum and to owning a trike. Just bought my first one a couple weeks ago. 1984 Honda atc 200 (not sure what letter). Anyways I plan on making a mud bike out of it. I'm gonna snorkel the air intake, put on some aggressive tires and rebuild it right from the frame up. Powder coated parts and fenders sprayed with truck undercoating for extra strength and durability. I'd also like to do as much performance as I can while I'm at it. When I get home from work I'll take some pics of it as it stand now and post em up. Any tips suggestions or good places to buy parts are very welcome.

make sure to run the carb lines up with the snorkel
For performance mods i am running a 200x head and jug on my 185 with an xr200 cam, carb and high compression wiseco piston. Down fall to running a 200x head is that you lose the decompression valve. I have really never used it with the stock motor and this motor is ok without it but it takes more strength to pull.

Not that a 200x is hard to kick over anyways...

Couldn't you run the 200x head with the 185 rocker cover? Then you would have the 200x head and still have the decompression lever.
I was thinking that too but i never tryed it.

Thanks for the tips so far guys. I'm not sure if I wanna do a whole engine rebuild on it or not yet. I know for sure I'm putting exhaust cause the stock one is all rusty and doesn't sound good enough for me. What exhaust would you guys suggest?

Ah the "Mac". I'm surprised you get to leave work at all! Good luck with the machine. The guys are great on here. Lots of good info and parts.
Well i have used cobra exhausts and dg exhausts and personally the dg is alot better pipe and it is a good mid to top end range pipe.
