Just picked this up off of craigslist. Said it was a 85 but I didn't get a chance to run the vin yet. Not sure what tank he had on it but i'm sure its not the correct one. Someone primered it on the outside. Inside has rust but I can still see some of the steel so I believe may clean up. Anyway anyone have any clues as to it's origin?:wondering Not quite sure if I want to try to make this into a runner or not. Looks pretty beat. No recoil or rear tires (rims are unusable too) plus I would need a tank. Best asset is probably the seat, looks in really decent shape.other than that it looks to be fairly complete. Price was right so I couldn't pass it up. I'll check it more in the days to come. Are parts for this hard to come by? Any insight would appreciated!

I'd check for spark, change the oil and fire it up. with a lawnmower gas tank.
One of my favorite trikes came to me on a pallet with no tires or wheels
or seat or plastic and after walking around it for a month,
I spritzed it with some starting fluid, pulled the rope and it fired right up.
Ya never know ya know?
Some used lawnmower tires, lawnmower tank and let people say what they want.
Is this your first trike?

ANYthing is better than walking, imo

Thanx drjoe, Need to find a pull starter first. No, not my first,I have 250 BR "runner" that I'm in the process of replacing the essentials: cables , brakes, bearings (my avatar). I also picked up an 84 & an 85 KLT100 recently from different guys. Wanna try to make one good out of these:Bounce. Seems like they are breeding even though none of them are running right now:wondering. Wife thinks it's my mid-life crisis:crazy:. Anyway I think ill take your advise and see if she will run or not before I make any rash decisions on its future.
