Hey Guys and gals,
I am new to this forum but I have been loving 3 wheelers ever since dad brought a Honda 110 ATC home back in 1983.

About 1992 I stepped up to a red, black and gold YTM 225 dr. I now have 3 of these wheelers. This white and blue one I restored back in 2003. I am now revisiting some problems that my restoration caused.

I just bought a $75 Yuasa battery only to find out that I have a problem with my starter clutch.
If you check out this video you will notice that all three gears are rotating (starter, intermediate and the clutch gear.)
Everytime I hit the starter button it turns the engine over once and then it sounds like the gears are slipping. But after pulling the cover off and watching it, I am suspecting that one of the little weights or springs that grip the crankshaft are missing. I am going to pull the stator magnets later this week and see what I find.
