Hey tecate guys! Is there an easy way to take out the air box on an 84/85 tecate without taking the shock off?

IMO, there is NO easy way to get them out or in, even with the shock off.
I have had them off/on and it has always been a hassle. No real force needed but a brain drain hassle none the less.

pull the shock, expansion chamber and carb and with some convincing it will come out the left side. PITA you have to pull foreward then twist it then turn it again then squeeze it through the frame. Good times, have fun and good luck!

haha thanks guys! Brain puzzle for sure! I've tried every angle! But ok ben. I'm gonna pull the shock. I guess the honda guys get a plus one in their column for this one

I'm not sure why you are removing it but they go back in alot easier than they come out. So if if you are putting it back in you have something to look foreward to.LOL.

I'm pulling it because I'm tearing the whole bike down to paint the frame. I just got this tecate for $175!
