picked up a tri-z that has a spacer between the jug and the crank case abot 3/8'' thick. think someone has turned it into a stroker with a yz rod? if so does this nix my phase11 plans. thanks for any help.and to the last gent for the correction.

Its very likely its running the YZ490 rod. This doesn't actually change the stroke of the motor, but it definitely has some advantages and they are known to run very well.

Chances are if someone went through the trouble of doing a 490 rod conversion on it the cylinder is already ported. The Phase 2 wrench report mods will not do the same things on a long rod motor. The port timings are already altered from the change in rod length. Long story short you need a professional engine builder like Harry Klemm or someone that you can send it to and have it checked out.

Are there any spacer plates still for sale by those that made them here a while back. Seems I read a thread on a build where some were made. And what about x.systems and the bushings.
