Got a tri zinger for the boy. Did a bunch of work to it. It starts and runs just fine. After about ten minutes of riding, the wheeler stalls. Switch it back to start, fires right up. Switch to run, stalls out. This happens everytime. I'm thinking coil or switch. Has anyone run into this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks.

I had 2 that did the same theing. Ended up being dirty fuel petcock and filters. You need to clean it from the tank to and including carb to rule it out. Good luck

Spanking new carb on it. The petcock is hard to turn (need plyers), but fuel flows out of the tank.

Fuel may still flow but under heavy fuel consumption it may not flow fast enough. Pull the petcock and see if it is dirty. This is my assumption as well.

I see where you're headed,,and I will agree with you. Electrical. I had a customer,,years ago,,SAME problem,,he understood the half plugged fuel theory.. I 99.9% believe it was electrical. He sold it before he got it here for me to play with. I think he had done ,CDI,coil, and harness,,,and was thinking it had to be the actual start switch. Let us know what you find !!

It may very well be electrical, but I doubt it. There is no cooling off period, and what I mean by that is the electrical components do not have sufficient time to cool off. He stated it dies and then starts again. I had a old CM400t with a cracked coil. It would run strong for about 10mins, then die and not run until the bike completely cooled.

I would start with making sure the petcock is sparkling then invest in expensive electronic parts.

Thanks guys. I'll try the petcock first. I have a feeling it might be the coil. Time and money will tell.
I feel bad for the boy. He gets all bummed out when she stalls. I would too.
