Finally after while away from riding I was able to get a new ride.
2003 400ex.

Forecast is for 6" - 12" of snow later today and overnight. Planning on riding alot. Will post some pics

haha. Yup one too many wheels but I just couldn't find a 350X anywhere near me that wasn't a small fortune. Video might be tough as I will be riding solo. But defintly will post some pics.
I see you are in NY. Expecting any snow where you are? My elevation is around 600' - 1400' around me so hopefully we will be in the 12" range.

Holt CRAP Whyzee ,,that was a Clean 85 !!!! Have fun in the snow. They were calling for 4-10 here. It's totally fizzled so far..We're up high,,2800,I think,,never thought about it!! Will have to go look that up! Jetting ALL these years by seat of the pants!! Anyhow,,supposed to be a white out this afternoon. Have fun!

Actually I do! Fun to play in but I'm sure it would get old though. I haven't been up in the winter since I can remember. I always come up in the summer. Well have fun playing in the snow!

Sorry to jack your thread, just a quick question..

BTW what is the value of the 400EX? I had a guy email with an offer to trade his 2004 400EX for the 350x I have for sale at $3000..

I didn't accept because I didn't need another 4 wheeler, but if the deal is that good maybe I'll reconsider.

04 EX here? $1600-$2500 ,,and that would be MINT!!!!! 06 and up got reverse and a redesign. 08 And up?? What a machine!!!!! Skinny! and sexy! I would DEF keep the X. Business wise,,not JUST because it's a 3wheeler. But then,,,you would only have how much into the 400EX? Depends on what you want! And Whyzee,we've only got about 3 here! You caught up in a hurry! I haven't had any news or radio on,I think it hugged the coast? We're a cpl hundred miles inland.

OK I just got back from a ride...it was rough to say the least
its trees are down everywhere, the trails have completely disappeared. I was just happy to get home safely. This is going to be a record breaking snowstorm here. So far 8" in 3 the hours since the storm began!

Just came in from rippin up winsted/torrington area myself, lots of trees and powerlines everywhere, tons of fun tho! Now to spend some indoor time before heading back out to the garage to tinker with the 225 so the wife can ride too!! :) be safe out there man!

Just got in again.the only things rideable are the plowed roads and even then it is sketchy. Too dangerous to go fast because you are constantly going around a fallen tree. All the electricity is out in our area. Typing all of this from my phone. This storm is going to be worse than hurricane Irene
I will head back out again but will limit it to my road. Its even a little to dangerous for me.

When you were saying this morning that you were hoping for 12" (or was that someone else?), I was thinking, oh, be careful what you wish for, man! :lol: Our trikes are a blast up to about 6" or so, but after that, you're just plain stuck. I really enjoy the first couple rides in the snow, then it gets old.

Anyway, be safe.
