Hey guys (& gals).
Anybody have any tips or does/don't(s) for an aspiring youtube newbie.
I'm wanting to shoot video of my builds, but keep it clean and simple. Don't really want to even talk in the vids. I'd give myself d-bag chills. Thinking of doing a video of the crated R before the ebay sale and/or for just good 'ol memories sake too.
Any pointers are always appreciated!
Thanks!
-Andy

what i look for in a good youtube video, is the least amount of talking is better. because youll normally get someone that rambles on and on about this, or that or what was done here or there....id rather read in a descrition what may or may not been done to your vehicles...

also good camera skills. dont be too jerky, or zoom way in so you only see spots of a vehicle also. smoother the better

also, i dont like hearing songs in videos about certain stuff, because 90% of the time the music doesnt appeal to me, or is way too loud and drowns out anything else that may be going on in the video

but then again these are just what I look for in videos....they may or not be helpful for you in your case.

A bit of dialogue is good..tell the people what they're watching.

Skip the GD metal music though..I hate that!! Why do people alway think their video is cooler with headbanger soundtrack?

Smooth and steady,,keep in close,,noone needs to see what's in the background. Zoom in on what YOU think is cool,,,those of us interested in the same things will probably think it's cool too. All this from someone who has never posted a video in his life! But,,,,25 years ago,,,WAAAAAYYYYY before it was a trillion dollar industry, my nephew, brother in law and I Shot a LOT of riding, outdoors, wildlife video.
