Hey Guys..... Need help here!
I just completed a complete engine & bearing overhaul on the above mentioned trike. I started it up & it runs great, however, my problem now is I Cannot get it into gear!
It will sit there an idle, & I try shifting up/down & nothing. I tried adjusting the clutch on the side , & no better. It seems to be locked internally, as the axle will only roll about 6" fwd/back. When I reassembled, I replaced all the gears & linkages as I had removed them.
Has anyone else encountered this scenario? & Please what did you do to resolve it??
Thnx in advance &
Hope to get lots of feedback!

at first i though clutch as well, but then i realized you said you adjusted it. are you sure you adjusted it correctly, not to judge your knowledge because i had a tough time getting the clutch adjusted correctly at first. but possibly the a spring is missing or mis alligned

It sounds like you almost answered your own question. I would take it back apart and look at everything related to shifting that you previously dissassembled. Go by the manual when doing this.

Hey Lil' Earl;
Thnx for your input, I actually had to replace one of the clutch springs, & am pretty sure it went back together properly. as for the adjusting part, I loosened the jam nuts, & turned the screw all the way in, Tried the lever, & it didn't feel any better, tried it the opposite way & same. Unless I am missing something.
Any pointers on the adjusting part? I'd rather not get into tearing it down, as it runs like a top.

Just to let people know, Hoss pm'ed me for suggestions, and I gave him a couple. But here is a hint for others. If you are trying to figure something out why it's not working, start from the simplest and work towards the hardest. In this case, simplest would be starting with the shifting linkage. It's outside the trike, easy to get to and be tested very simply. If this isn't the case, then you have to go back to the clutch pack assembly. They can be a real pain on a yt125 or yt175. After that, I would check the balls behind the clutch pack, after that the shifter arm and shifter stop, and the next and last and most complicated, resplit the cases and go over the transmission gears. Please don't make these fixes or diagnosis any harder then they have to be. Test things in a logical progression. I hope it's just his shift linkage is mis-adjusted. I would hope some members on here would give better suggestions.
