Dammit!

Just FYI. I know more and more people are getting into making trike vids.
Now that the HD Hero2 is out (http://sickvids.net/2011/10/gopro-releases-the-hd-hero-2/), GoPro dropped the prices on the original HD Hero and the 960 model.
The top of the line stays at $299 for the HD2. But now you can get the previous HD cam for $60 off. $239 for the HD Hero Motorsports kit or only $199 for the "Naked" version. Only difference is the Motorsports kit comes with a bunch of mounts. The Naked model is just the camera, housing and I think a single helmet adhesive mount.
The 960 is all the way down to $149. That one is the same as the HD model but it's missing a few features. It's not compatible with their bacpak accessories and it also does not do 1080p and the 720p mode is limited to 30fps instead of the 60 frames per second of the HD Hero. The only thing 60fps allows you to do is slow the footage down by 50% without getting choppy playback. Picture quality is still outstanding. The new price point makes this a really good option for anybody just getting into this.
Just thought I'd pass that on. I'd bet this is a "only while supplies last" kinda deal. Once the old HD model is sold out of current inventory they probably won't do this anymore. They did the same thing with the old Hero wide (or SD 170 which is what they called it when the HD model came out) so get them while you can I guess.
For those who don't have a HD GoPro yet, the youtube stuff doesn't do it justice. The raw clips look even better.
Here's a comparison of the old, non-HD cams and the HD Hero. Pretty striking difference.
