Someone should have been a little more clearer on this "addiction" thing when I joined this forum! Bought my 250 BR in March and have accumulated, with tonight's buy, 4 more! All projects but I can't seem to stop!:naughty: This one is an 86 KLT 185. Guy said it has no spark, but everything looks to be there. Can anyone tell me if the rack is correct? looks like holes were just cut through the fenders to accommodate it. I have an 84 & 85 klt 110.....will any of the electrical parts from these be interchangeable with 185 if I figure out the spark issue? Thanks for any answers!135045135046135047135048

As far as the compatability, Im not positive but do you have a manual or checked the ones on here and they may be of some assistance if you dont get an answer! As far as the addiction goes, it just gets worse in time after you start. How many times did you say one drink then we'll go or one more cast or just one more trike hun and thats it, then two weeks later " I couldnt pass this deal up"!!!:welcome: to 3WW anonomous! LOL!

From your pics it looks like maybe someone has done some creative wiring. If that's what it is, I'd be tempted to buy a whole new wiring harness for it and just start over.
Looking at this thing, it looks like the exact same frame as the KLT110. I really like my KLT110, and I've been wanting a KLT160 or maybe one of these. But using the same small frame, I can't help but wonder if the extra weight and power make it unwieldy...you'll have to let us know when you get it running.

Pm back at ya kev.
Frank - Ill let ya know when I get it running. Has Spider Trac tires on the rear and from what I've found on a thread in here they are a fairly heavy tire adding to the weight. Guy I got it off of said they had already replaced the pinion and rings in rear and gave me brand new universal for the shaft. Tells me I need to check out the shaft pretty closely. And yes I seen those stay wires popping out all over the place as well. Will definitely need to do some tracing there. like the replacing the harness option though.

Well the "creative wiring" as Frank called it was more extensive than I thought! Check out this patch work!?... bare wire in second pic could very well be a source of no spark (atleast to the spark plug) Guess I'll post in classifieds for a harness.
