I spied this BR on craigslist. I would have assumed this is a home brew type contraption, but the guy says it is a hard to come by "kit". I have seen the Yeti track kits before, but never anything like this... Anyone have any information on it?

I bet you're right about it not turning, but who needs to turn when you can go over/through anything in front of you?

Come to think of it, I guess I did see another one of these track kits maybe 6 months back on a different Big Red locally. So maybe the kits were originally built somewhere in Minnesota??

I imagine if a guy had one of these kits, with a cycle country plow, a chained front tire, and a cinder block on the front rack you would be pretty much unstoppable!

Mhhhhh,,I have one very similar !! Forgot I did! but do. Mines all rubber instead of the steel cleats. A simple trailer bolts to the hitch with?? 12 inch I think,,trailer tires for the "idler wheels" then the tracks go on.

I vaguely remember seeing something like that. There were 3 or 4 different kits offered at one time or another. This kit is probably the lightest of them all though and it looks like you would get around pretty well. Now you just need one of the front skis and you should be good to go. As far as interesting track kits go, I've even seen a kit made for the old kawasaki h1 500 and h2 750 to turn them into a tracked vehicle for the snow!

I've seen this kit somewhere on a brochure either on here or 3wheeler.org. The brochure showed a big red going up a hill. I remember looking at all the Astro conversions on one brochure then I clicked on another link and this came up. I'll see if I can find it.

something like this on a 350x would be sweet on the lake in the winter!

That is great. Wonder what a kit like that goes for? Now and back in the day.

Not sure if this is a thread jump but I saw these the other day for a
non trike.
Friend had some for his full sized ford van do to snow tours.

I think the guy wants 2500 for all 4.
Might be called mattracks
