I agree. It appears to have the coveted J-arm front suspension. Good bikes, just don't plan on setting speed records! I've got 2 of them myself...

It's not a 250x.....or a Honda for that matter from what I can see in the pic.
My gut wants to say it's some kind of Suzuki or Polaris but I don't remember 4 stroke Polaris quads back then.
I need better pics

That tank and headlight does look a bit Suzuki-ish doesn't it.....Could be an '89-'90 LT250 Quadsport, definitely not a 230...but hard to tell in that pic exactly what it is...

Its definitally not a 250R. If it runs and drives and he wants $50, buy it. Otherwise its not worth much if anything

How old a Polaris??? I didn't think they got into making thumpers till the 90's??? Well, the 90's weren't exactly last week now were they??!!
Stinks getting old.... I keep thinking a 90's machine is pretty new!

Lol, hate 2 keep dragging this thing up, but its no doubtably an 85-87 fourtrax 250. I've got 2 of them, if it wasn't dark id go snap a pic of the front frame section for a comparison. Id recognize that unique front frame rails and j arms from a mile away! That was the very first atv I ever owned, lol had my 87 since I was 14!
that is not a 250x. That appears to be a monster. looks like either a warrior or blaster front bumper on it, Zuke wheels up front, possible a LT250S with some modified to fit parts up front. Manual trans? 5 or 6 speed? the gas tank is older warrior tank it looks like. The older polaris were 2 smokers. its definitely a 4 stroke, would need to really see some more and better pics to be 100% on what it actually is.

LOL, I agree, it isn't a 250X. Again, its a TRX250, plain jane, no R or X.. its a utility model, shaft driven. You can see the J-Arm front suspension. Not trying to be argumentative here, so I went out with my spotlight and snapped a couple pics of my 87~
