I'm going to do the Auto x swap on my 84.
Has anyone ever swapped a hi-lo 200 motor into a 200x. I want to use my high compression piston and head from my 200x and a 200 hi-lo bottom end.
I have not had a good look at a hi-lo to see how much bigger it is. Is there room for it ?
I like the power of the 200x but not the kick start and clutch. The auto is much better for my kind of riding.
I have a wood trailer I'd like to tow around at the camp so hi-lo would be prefect.

Put a high/lo range bottom end in your 200m, It would be much better suited for your type of riding/towing than the 200x

Or just get a Big Red.

I swap a hi-lo in my friend 200x 2 year ago.Not bolt on.The cover need to be grinded and a little bit of the frame in the sprocket area to clear the gearbox. Also you need more room to clear the starter. You need to bent the frame a little.200x intake needed
