What length ice racing screws should be used in the front tire? The tire I am buying will be a Duro Power Trail.

are you gonna use the tire in the summer and remove the studs? or a permanent ice tire?

I recommend 3/4 or longer.. I run 1" so the stud penetrates the carcass.. Less prone to rip out.. and have a leak.

That is longer than I expected on the front.Just scares me to puncture the tire, don't want to be adding air all the time,or slime.

pump up the tire to 10 psi when studding... then when you release the air to operating PSI the rubber grabs the stud.. if there new tires and new studs.. you will go many years ,, not have to put air in them.

Thanks for the info.Luckily I only have to do one.Just setting the rear ones up was time consuming.
