hey guys went riding this weekend and and when i got home i noticed my 250r was leaking some coolant...it appears to be the head gasket leaking...just wondering if anyone has ever changed there head gasket with the motor still in the bike...ii looks like its possiable but thought id check..thanks

piece of cake, just pull the tank and leave the plug in so that you have something to pull on. Might need to check your head to make sure it isnt warped. You can deck your head on your own with a piece of glass and 400grit wet paper. Some people may not agree with me, but has always worked great for me, just dont get too carried away and check your squish after you reinstall the head. I always use 1211 on all of my head and base gaskets as extra security.

check your squish? ...also is it ok to use regular green 50/50 antifreeze in this after i change to gasket?

That method works fine for a barely warped head and torquing the bolts helps too :D

i plan on just following my manual...if it starts leaking again then i know its warped...i got a oem head gasket so i should be good...just need to know if i should be using regular 50/50 green antifreeze

I use 50/50 antifreeze with no problems
