Well finally found a decent little 200x cheap enough ($500.00) mostly original, and actually in really good shape. Enjoyed it for a bit, and decided to clean it up a little and add a personal touch or two to it.

Pics from the ad for it.

After bringing it home.

Put some flat track American Racing Tires on it to try out.

I noticed a little wiggle starting in the rear so I tore it apart to rebuilt the carrier and replace the needle bearings and seals also. Said screw it, soda blasted it and voila!!.

Partially reassembled swinger.New sprocket. All new bearings. Painted hubs/Sprocket hub is PC, and Rotor Hub and rotor center is PC. Blasted and repainted the skid plate also.

Figured while apart, I might as well have the shock rebuilt too.

and figured seeing as I will be putting aftermarket fenders on it I would need some updated graphics to make it personal.(Royal blue out line with a white letter background.)

Next comes frame/engine/forks/triples/bars/pegs/pedals/levers/cables and I really would like a Bassani Exhaust for this guys HINT HINT!!!..lol

Wife's gotta work Sunday. Figures but my work I slowing down soon so I'll have more time. I plan to play on the ice this winter. I got a old super trapp exhaust on it now. I also scored a short track tank. Gonna cam it in the spring. It's running great, way way better than the last time we rode. Keep in touch.

Jason.

what did you use to get your fork looking like that?

ALOT of elbow grease....80 grit...100 grit...150 emery...220 emery...300 emery/wet...400 emery/wet...600 grit wet....800 grit wet....and still need to go to 1200-1500 grit wet. started with a brass wire wheel to clean it, and about 5 hours of sanding so far to get to this point. i wanted to try it, but I think the results gking gets make mine look like CRAP...lol He will end up with these when I am ready...just need to try it for myself and it helps to make me appreciate what he does a whole lot more.

i have another fork question for you are yours perfectly straight or do the have a slight bend near the top above the boot. i just took mine apart and they both have the bend so either it is supposed to be like this or someone messed them up along the way
