differences in atc 185 years 1980-83

well i got a atc 185. tank has been sprayed over a couple times. no front suspension. so how can i tell what year it is? the sticker is torn off and the vin decoders never work for me so i dont bother with them.

Very simple the 1980 185 was a 1 year deal LOL in 81-83 it was 185s and is a smaller bike . post pics .

If the left and right fenders and seat are all seperate pieces it is an 80 185. If the seat and fenders are together it's a 185s

all together. well thanks! geuss it is the later years.

and shortline ill post pics tommarrow. its a beater but when i got it (its missing a recoil) i wrapped a rope around the dog cage gave it a pull started right up and idled.

alright if the headlight switch is on the headlight and the kill switch is on the throttle it's an 81. If it has a combination switch on the left handlebar it's an 82

- 10th digit = The vehicle year.
