I just picked up a 1981 185s in nice original condition...It's no garage queen - but a real nice looking rider :D Runs stong -not a crop duster  Can anyone post a link to the manual? It has been siting a year with old gas and will only idle for a short time and die...Im sure it needs fresh fuel and a good carb cleaning...What plug and oil do you run in your 185? Any maintenance tips for a 185s? I plan on putting an open air intake/200x carb and pipe on it soon....but as is...it has gobs more power than my 85' 110 :naughty:

137697137698137699137700Now you're getting into the fun trikes. How crazy do you want to get? When are you getting your suspension frame for it? You need to make sure to go over your trike from front to back. Check front and rear axle bearings. Brake shoes. Lube cables. Lube and check your chain. The front and rear brake cams have o-rings on them to help keep water out of the brake drums, check those and lube them well on reassmbly. Your clutch has an adjustment, make sure it's properly adjusted. You will be having tons of fun. Here is a pic of a suspension 185s.

Thanks for the links mike!
VM- I had the same 185s for my first wheeler when I was 12 and I had endless fun on that thing..Riding this one brings back good memories :)
There is just something about a rigid 185s that I love...it just seems so small and tank'ish.. kind of like a 110 but with more grin power.
Im going to show her some love over the weekend and post pics.... once I go through it and get it idling right - let the games begin!
