How much ice you guys got out there? We had about 3 - 5 inches last weekend, but it has been warm here this last week, and talking close to 50 on sunday, I dont think there is more than an inch out there right now, and will be open in spots after the weekend.
What did you do to lower the rear? It looks like it will be a lot of fun for sure! Good luck!

Do you think 240 studs is enough in the front Duro tire? There are four in the center and three in the ones along side.Wish they sold Kold Kutters in 300pcs per bag.

No ice here, very mild weather. The rear suspension is just backed off is all.

Very nice setup. Once you start ,you'll never stop! You will love it. I would grind the steering stops to the point you can't hit your tank,,but get a little more. You'll need it.

what do u mean the rear shock is "backed off?"

also with the forks did u take out the top spring?

looks awesome low like that

The front forks are slid up into the trees.Plus front tire is a 1 1/2" smaller than stock. The spring adjuster is backed off on the rear shock.G-Force hubs have been added to the rear also.

Did you happen to buy then rear tires from me from ebay? Studded tires on trikes look so much more bad ass than a golf cart

No the tires came from a member that lives nearby. They were a great deal.

I had some douglas gold anodized looking wheels like that. Have fun out there with it anyway.

Just a thought, are those OEM front and rear fenders? If so I would get a set of Maier's just in case the tire decides to take a bite out of them. Its close with no one sitting on it and I'm sure with a rider its really close. I ruined a real nice oem front fender on my R by sliding the fork tubes up for drag racing. Just a rubber Mowhawk tire ate through the fender. Imagine what a studded tire will do if you wheelie and come down hard.

No they are Maier fenders already. As you can see headlight will be left off. They are way to exspensive to chance on breaking it.

Thats good because I would hate to see a set of OEM's get chewed up. Hell let it eat now!!!

Looks like your ready to chew up some ice. My only concern is does anybody think that might be too much bite with those rear tires. I know all the 250r guys run a lot of studs like that but with a 200x it might be under powered to get it to slide in the turns. Last year when i did my 350x i ended up taking out a bunch of studs to slide better but still had enough forward traction.
What do you guys think?

My first thought. Take those nice set of fenders off and find some beaters. When you roll it over You will, it's just how it is they will bust. I wrecked my cherry Yamaha fender on the ice. Broke one side then a year later I broke the other... Otherwise looks good, should be a fun ride out on the lake!

Looks great man!! He may have to experiment with the rears.....too many and not enough balls=== "Blaaaaaaaahaahaaa in the corners if you overshoot it a bit and try to counter steer. Even the depth you have them run in could make a huge difference. I noticed to much bite at times on my 350 when I would drive it in too deep and try to counter steer, even it lacked the balls to keep wheelspeed. Go with it and see what it feels like. You will be hooked forever now man!! Freakin blast!!! Trike looks good bro.........

The tires were already studded up when I got them. They look like cheap screws to me.What happens if I remove them, won't the leak?I was told though they had liners and tubes.Wasn't planning on being a house of fire.Right now it is the only trike ready to roll.Only own two as it is.Might get the 350X ready after the holidays. It is going to be all about the fun factor.I know the 86 200x isn't any rocketship. It does run pretty good with a pipe and jetted up and free flowing air filter.

No I was not telling ya to yank the studs...... Just giving some input. You can change the forward bite with more air if you decide to...more air=loosen it up, get it to slide more and more wheelspin in the rear. Less air in the front more bit to steer or vice versa. Great job, I loved everyone of my 200x's....they were a blast!! Have fun....I know you will. Plenty of power with a 200x to rip on the ice.
