I had about 10 tires, all the the exact same numbers on them next to each other.
22x11x8 and the ALL looked vastly different.
Neighbor guy has some
18x10.5x8 Klaw MXR tires for 50$ for both.
They sure look like they'd fit some trike, hopefully an 85 sx.
Nice flat looking profile.
Really don't like the rounded oem knobbies for farm work.
Whattya think?
Bring a rim to match up?

Are you advertising this or asking what we think? If it is the later, then I would say that an 18 is a very low profile tire for an sx for any kind of farm work. Normally the only time that you see an 18" tire on an atv or trike is when it is on a well groomed track. I would recommend you stay with nothing smaller than a 20" tire.

Oh, I was gonna go buy them tomorrow, unless someone else really wants them.
I have some 22's that are 4 inches taller than some other 22's.
So thinking that these may just be a good size since tire numbers just really don't seem to
have much basis in reality, sizewise.

i would say these r definitely not good for an SX doing farm work. they r for high revs quickly and for racing, or in places with nothing to bottom on. but they r nice tires and a good deal.

I really appreciate the thoughts and suggestions.
Hadn't thought much about ground clearance since it's never much of an issue around here.
I just looked at a few 22x11x8's again and they're all different heights, from the 90/110's on up.
Guess I'll take an actual ruler out and measure them all for height and see what these
new tires actually measure up to relative to what we have here.
Changing tires is not something I care to do more than once so I appreciate the insights.

I know what your are saying about tires made by different companies being all over the placemy Bear Claws are huge compared to the OEMs I took off and they are the 'same size'
Perhaps take a tape measure and find out what the outside measurement is on these tires.
Standard OEM circumference measurement according to the manual is 69.9". Of course that is installed and inflated.
All they will do is steal your top end speed from you so give them a shot..if you don't like they can always come off!

Hadn't thought about circumference, (duh)
but nice to know that tire size numbers mean nothing.
I figured I need new glasses, or they were all overinflated and distorted
or it was time to give up and lose my faith in quantum physics.
Dad got a set for his yama200 and the suckers were just wrong, hit the exhaust,
no way to shim them out and they had the same numbers on them.
