They're pretty rare. I'd think seriously about buying one if it showed up around here. If you've got a line on one, you should snag it!

Heres mine. Chasing a no spark issue right now. Just be aware electrical system parts are either hard to come by or priced way out there. I just purchased a used coil and stator off ebay. coil wasn't bad but I ended up getting a stator from a klt 160 and will have to splice/crimp connector off the old one. Have tore apart now waiting for parts to get here. Has a rack off of ???? Someone cut holes in the rear fender in order to mount it.

Here's a pair of old timers. They both run fine but I think the 185 is going to need a clutch job nex summer. I see some clutch parts on e-bay but I don't know if i can handle the job. The manual shows some tools needed which aren't available. The black 160

I didn't know the KLT185s have reverse? That's awesome! Oh, the sticker on the back fender gave it away,I know very little about the KLT's- that's real cool MRSOUND. Is/were the Kaw 185s hardtails, or suspended?

Gazoo - They are hardtails...although someone on here may have fabbed a suspension onto one:naughty:

Fabio - Seen pics on both posts here

Tommy - I did pm you....seen you had been on after that and figured maybe you didn't have them since you didn't reply. Would have rather gotten from you or someone on here rather than ebay...Already have your harness on which would be why you no longer have that.:beer PM me what you would want for the CDI in case coil & stator don't fix my problem.

ive swaped cdi's and coil's bettween brands im even using a rm 125 cdi and coil on my 185/xr200/200x it dose need to be retarded a bit however kawie parts only work on kawies they couldnt use normal voltage #'s if you hook them up to a multimeter there way out compared to the other 3 brands some kawies even use battery ignition i would try to get the entire ignition system out of a yamaha and mod your stator plate to fit the stator and puser coil yamaha has the most reliable and easy to fix set up by far

Wow bc, sounds too complicated for my non-electrical mindset:rolleyes:. I would like to try and keep this as close to stock as possible. Will be tough though with limited production #'s (wish I knew how many) and NOS stock parts availability. I have an 84 klt 110 parts bike that I already robbed the headlight harness and taillight assembly:). Not much else electrically is direct fit compatible. Thanks for the idea, but a little beyond know-how.

Cool thanks for the pics. Well I picked her up and if you havent seen my other thread the 2 kids that owned it before me tore into it and it is now IMO a pile of crap. I am keeping some parts for my 110KLT selling some off and junking the rest. Sorry guys I guess some have to die so others can live. But thanks for the pictures.
