Spotted this on fleabay, never seen one before.

Does / has anyone used one for accurate tyre pressures? I don't see any reason why it wouldnt work once the connection is suitably adapted and easier to read than the stick type gauge.
Thoughts?

The pen type works well also..I have several low pressure pen gauges in my tool box for my trikes and quads.
But your idea is fine too..

sure that's for a regular tire valve? "FOR USE WITH INFLATABLE BOATS"
if you get it, make sure not to over pressure it. doesn't take much to mess up most air gauges, especially alot of these low pressure ones.

Yes, the valve end would need to be adapted. I was just thinking ease of reading, and as you'd be using up to 50% of it's available range then accuracy should be good.
It's odd that I've been using various types of rib for the best part of 30 years, and I've never seen one of these before.

I used to have one like this and it worked great. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Moroso-89552-Pro-Series-Tire-Pressure-Gauge-JEGS-/200606203857?pt=Other_Vehicle_Parts&vxp=mtr&hash=item2eb50fbfd1
