its gettin to be that time of the year again!! load up the trikes and lets do some riding at my place in new albany pa. zipcode is 18833 and there is = some trails over a few huntdred acres, a dirt oval, and if the pond coperates ice racing. last year was fun we can work out the bigger detgails as it gets closer but were shpoopting for the last weekend of january the27th, 28th and 29th. so whos in?

w when you find the town ther eis a dandy mini mart right inthe middle of town.( the town is oinly a mile long) and rt 22o runs right trough the middle.




but when you pull out of the dandy make a left on 220south for 100-200 yards there is a sign that says overton 4 miles on telaphone pole make the right onto this road(its the paved rd thats level) if you go up hill your on the wrong road.




fallow overton rd for aprox 4 miles to the church( is usualy lit up with light in parkign lot you can not miss it) and immediatly after the church ther eis morris rd, make a right on this road.








fallow morris rd for aprox2.5-3 miles straight trough a offset 4 way intersection, down the hill stay left at the fork where branch rd is and go up the hill to the top of the hill i am the only driveway on the left hand sid eof the road. (look for back country excavating sign)




make the left on to the driveway and fallow down the hill to the house (aprox 3/4 mile)




you have arrived at your destination.

its open to all but its just a private property nothgin fancy some trails over a few hundred acres and a chance for the friendly faces of pa and sourounding states to get together and break the cabin fever.

ok here is some more info on the ride.

schedule of events, we have about 10 miles of trails open including a fairly open hare scramble course most places are 2 quad with wide, i have trhe mx track but need to do a little touch up work and hiopefuly finish in the spring., the traditional bonfire and night ride. i am hoping on a little bit of snow for this event it makers the night ride more fun, and i have the flat track witch is the same as it was last year. i have frozen hill climbs(traction devices recomented for some)

food will be provided and i have the house open and ready for those who will be sttaying 2 or all 3 days. i have 6 single beds and a twin and queen beds for couples, ther eis a few couches and recliners and some room for airmatresses and cots if people want to bring something.


the menu is not yet determined i was thinkign liek a few snack platters for fri evening, and start off sat with somethign simple liek waffles or maybe just do a huge pan of scrambled eggs and a pan of fried potatoes or soemthign liek that and the lunch will be somethign from a crock pot or grill . and dinner was thinkign possibly a spigetti and meatballs dinner easy to make alot and who doesnt liek spigetti and meatballs lol. and sunday would be yet to be determined. this is all still open to ideas but let me know what you are thinking

i have a friend that strips atv's and motorcycles on ebay so i have tons of atv rims and tires in the 8" 9" or 10" sizes in the 20" and 22" tall ones if anybody needs anything for there trike or quad. have alot of aluminum bars 7/8 and protaper type also.

When you make a right is that onto "Overton Rd."? Looking at the map there is "Fawcett Ave", "Mechanic St.", and "Overton St." all right next to each other. To make it worse, Mechanic St turns into SR3002/Overton Rd. and Overton St. turns into Pelton Hill Rd. I'm just trying to get an idea of where I'm going before I go there by looking at Google Maps. If you could go on Google Maps look at the spot where your driveway is, right click that spot, and click the "what's here" button it will give you the latitude and longitude in the search bar at the top left of the page. I'm just trying to follow those directions and I can't find where Morris intersects with any of them.

here are the directions for you all.



step 1 mapquest, or google maps your way to the town of new albany, pa. 18833

step 2 there is a dandy mini mart located right ont he main rd in the middle of town

step 3 once you find the dandy mini mart in new albany, pa, take 220 south( left out of the parking lot) about 100 yards and there is a road on the right hand side and a sign that is overton 4 miles on the telaphone pole.

step 4 take the road to overton aprox 4 miles there is a field and a church you cant miss them. literaly right past the church there is a road on the right it is morris rd. make a right on morris rd.

step 5 take morris rd down the hill back up the hill trough the ofset 4 way intersection and down the next valey(be careful if its snowy or icy its a dirt road and twisty and ther eis heavy oilfield trafic from time to time) so go slow!

step 6 at the bottom of the hill there is a fork in the road stay to the left DO NOT GO ON BRANCH RD! ther eis nowhere to turn around for miles. but continue left and up around the left hand turn, and nproceed to the top of the hill. you will pass the entrance to a natural gas wellon the right hand side on way up the hill. i am about 100-200 yards past the gas well pad on the left side of the road.

step 7 once you reach the top of the hill there is a sign on the left side fo the road that says BACK COUNTRY EXCAVATING on th eleft side this is the end of my driveway. so proceed down the driveway and proceed with caution down the driveway.and your at the house. whats your address?

3262 morris rd. but the map john r just posted is not right overton rd comes from new albany to overton but on the map its dibble rd when the sign is morris rd. (we changed the 911address system this past year) so it doesnt show up on many gps systems. and yes the green arow is my top of my driveway.

I really enjoyed getting to meet everyone. It sucked having to work the midnight shift and then leaving to come up. So it was probably better off I didn't end up riding anyway, especially in all the mud since mud really isn't my terrain of choice. It was nice getting to put faces and people and names to postings on the board. I got a really good chance to hang with Raffa and Chris200x by the bonfire late friday night. Picked up some good racing tips and the lowdown on Ashtabula. Got a chance to get a better tank to Trizilla for the
500, so that was a big plus. A good time seemed to be had by all. I hope Saturday evening was just as fun. I know Brapp took a dip in the pond right before Gazoo and I left to return to Baltimore.

I had a blast at brapps!! He has some if the best trails i have ever been on. When you get a group like that together its always a interesting! In brapps defence.. he DID prove he could ride that quad on the pond... he just didnt go as fas as he wanted.. lmao! He had it running in 15 mins after washing it very throughly LOL.
Thanks to everyone, i couldnt believe the food we had there, everyone brought something, if you went hungry it was your own fault.. lol
there was no major brakedowns, every atv that showed was running when we left, no major injurys, 1 roll w a bang to the shin and a sore leg.
i pulled my cel out to take picts as it died, grabbed my cam and it died too.. i got 1 picture all weekend. So ill be waiting like everyone else lol

Thanks soooo much to Brapp for having all of us crazy people at his house this past weekend! Was wikked awesome. It was so great seeing all the guys again. More than a few showed up, and just like Mik6 said, if you were hungry it sure was your own fault! I couldn't get over the weather for it being January though. Was expecting to freeze my butt off the whole time, and ended up being pretty decent.
So glad AutoXer and I made it down there! *Smilies!

Josh, you've done a helluva job w/ the property, the hill w/ the jumps is awesome, I couldn't get enough of it!
Great to see the old faces as well as the new, Ben & Diane, you guys kick ass! Mike, thanks for letting me ride the polaris, Jack, your SX is way better than mine, Eric, I take back EVERY negative thing I ever thought about the 225s, thanks for the rip, your bike is very nice & handles way better than I ever thought a 225 would.
You can count on Chris, Butch & me coming up for a weekend in spring/summer, man.
