Reeds make a nice performance upgrade! Get the carbon-fiber muti-stage ones. Moto-tassarini, or Boyessen work great.

I had power reeds in my Z, they worked well. For $30 you really can't go wrong with them. V-force reeds work great too, i've had them in my last 3 sleds but don't think they make them for the Z unless you can put a yz one in there.

Just for a reference, 88-92 YZ125 reeds are the same as Tri-Z reeds....

How do the dual stage reeds work? I was going to buy some for my tecate. They are two seperate reeds, one helps on top end, and the other helps on torque. Would it really make a diffrance in torque?

The dual stage reeds consists of a small set of valves on top of the main valves. The smaller valves open easier at lower engine speeds (because they have less mass) Giving better throttle response/low end torque. At higher engine RPM's the larger valves open like a normal reed valve.

Yeah, would the yz 125 reed cages work?
