Well its that time again. Anyone going to give something a shot and hopefully succeed? I know alot of these never make it far but im going to give it hell!!! Im going to try to quit swearing so much. This will be hard for me because it is how I talk. Ive worked in the logging and saw mill industry for a while and along with concrete plants and just mainly man oriented places, so it is how most talk also. I try to watch what I say around my kids because... well you know how kids are and will repeat anything you say and will do it at the worst possible time! My 2 yr old was running around saying dammit for 10 minutes today because he heard me saying it while I was working in the man cave remodeling. This is gonna be rough:D

Now I love my job (Childrens Home). Its gives me a good feeling knowing that everyday I work, I give someone new hope and guidence in the right direction to better themselves. Alot of these children are not just troubled kids, but have serious issues within themselves. I go to work proudly everyday giving my best to help. With that all being said, I would like to finish my old student loan off and start trade school for small engine repair which will hopefully lead me too a better job financially for my family, cause let me tell ya. I love my job, but sometimes getting paid 8 bucks an hour isnt worth it when you have someone trying to hit you, bite you, or even try to stab you.

Right there with ya 84T3! I'm a trucker and I most certainly swear like one, but I do try to turn it down a few notches when around the family.....

New years resolution....hmmm.... Never really did em. But I would say, I plan to keep my nose to the stone and finish getting rid of my last un-necessary debt.

Well my friend. As a Foster Parent,I know what you go thru on a Daily basis. We are trying to save the world here. And it Aint easy. The problem with this work,as you know,is, they grow up and get thankful,,somewhere between 26 and 30.. A LONG time for those seeds we've sewn to grow! And we ,,YOU,,never get to see it. YOU are changing lives for the better. 95% of YOUR population there today,is tomorrows population at the prison. It is THE hardest job on this Earth. You have to Love it,and def not be there for the money.. Cuz,it's not there! I wish you all the best of luck at finding some extra income,,because we NEED you right where you are !! I THANK YOU for every second of service you've given us,you are making a difference.

atc007, I appreciate it very much. Being a foster parent your doing as much for these kids if not more than myself. It does sadden me knowing that a good portion of these kids will end up in jail, prison, or even dead. Both my gf and I work there and enjoy it very much. We do our best to help each child we care for whether its the children who have mental disabilities or the ones who just cause too much trouble. Either way these kids all have a story for how they are. I do love my job, but we have a 5 yr old and a new baby, so we need the better income. I have already decided to become a mentor at the home when/if I end up finding a new job. Being a mentor, you are still an employee, but its more like a "big brother" type program. Either way I will still do my best to help them the best I can.

Thanks, we appreciate it. Nope, we cant help them all, so we need to do the best with the ones we can and you never know, maybe one day they too can help someone. So atc007, you seem like a heck of a fella, hopefully we will get to meet sometime. Maybe at a TF one day, ive only been to 2010, but you never know. Lol
