I got a force swingarm for a 1st gen 250r a while ago a it had been broke in half and patched back together. I took it and replaced the main beams and it looks as good as new. I got it back from the powder coaters today. I can't wait to see how the old link technology works on the 300r.http://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz40/stroberts22/IMG_1508.jpg

I have been whatching this swingarm build on af.com. It is very interesting how it puts pressure on the rear tires.

I got it bolted up today. I had to take off the air box to make room for the linkage. I can tell it's a little longer than my other swingarms. Feels like it might be too long. It will be good drag racing. Here's some pictures of it installedhttp://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz40/stroberts22/IMG_1514.jpghttp://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz40/stroberts22/IMG_1516.jpghttp://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz40/stroberts22/IMG_1517.jpghttp://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz40/stroberts22/IMG_1518.jpghttp://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz40/stroberts22/IMG_1519.jpghttp://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz40/stroberts22/IMG_1520.jpghttp://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz40/stroberts22/IMG_1521.jpghttp://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz40/stroberts22/IMG_1522.jpghttp://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz40/stroberts22/IMG_1523.jpg

I played around adjusting the force suspension and couldn't really tell a difference in each adjustment hole. Is there someone that used one of these swingarms back in the day and know what the adjustments do?

I would put a scale under each tire and adjust to each hole, Each hole has to be different on the amount of weight applied to the ground.

Nice find and restoration. I talked to the old owner of force swingarms last week. Unfortunately the don't still have any of the old tools or old inventory of the swingarms anymore. Nice people though

I'd just move it around and start hitting whoops and jumps and see how it reacts.

They are only giving you "options" that you have to figure out which is best for you.

Awesome piece!!

Very nice find! I remember one of the guys at our shop built a Cagiva swingarm with this design. It made a big difference.

That v -force swingarm is about the coolest setup Iv seen . Its kinda like a upper-lower A-arm like on the front of quads.STRoberts built me this swingarm for my 81 250r .Its a plus three the red one in the pic. I compared it to a stock 83 250r swingarm.Hopeing to get it mounted on my 81 this weekend.158953

Is that the factory color they were painted when new?

stroberts22

It was silver when I got it. It looked like the original paint but I have also seen one gold. Here's a picture before I powder coated it and a pic of one in gold. You can see the original color on the wishbone. Before I sold it I got all the measurements off it and made a jig so I could dulipcate the swingarm. I'm thinking about going ahead and making replica one. http://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz40/stroberts22/IMG_1062.jpghttp://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz40/stroberts22/82250r0071.jpg
