suspension upgrades for 200x

was wondering what kind of suspension mods can do to my 86 200x thanx

For the rear, I have heard that the 83-84 200x red spring is an upgrade. For the front, you may be able to get some aftermarket springs. I have also heard of some people that have put a small pvc spacer in the fork tube to "preload" the suspension.

whats the 83-84 spring do? does is lower it alittle? if not, what can be done to lower the rear alittle? thanks

The red spring is stiffer than stock, not likely to lower it any. Not sure if it will work, but you could try softening your current spring to lower it. To do this there should be 2 nuts on the top of the shock, loosen them as much as possible but only as long as there is still tension on the spring. Best bet is clean the threads on the shock real good before loosening the nuts.

ill definately try that. the rear susp. on mine is stiff as heck now anyway
