So when I built my tri z, I seemed to overlook that the frame I was using had stripped footpeg hole. I tried tapping them with absolutely no success. I know from the 3 tri z's I have had its a pretty common problem, I did a search and couldn't find any threads on fixes for them. So I thought I would share how I fixed mine.
So what I did was get some grade 9 steel bolts from brafasco, I cut them to length (couldn't find threaded rod hard enough). I then tapered the footpeg hole so I could weld it. I then cut a window in the bottom of the frame, so I could see the back of the rod when it was threaded into the hole.
I welded the bolts through the window at the back to keep them from pulling out. I then welded the bolts to the frame from the front side, then welded my window on the frame shut.
I then grinded the weld on the outside down, and hand filed it perfectly flat so the footpeg bracket fits flush to tthe frame. This way I can just throw a nut and lockwasher on and go riding, here's a couple of pics to show how It looks, I should have taken some process pics, but I wasn't thinking, I hope you get the idea from looking at it.

I'm sure if you wanted to cut the cap off the front you could maybe weld in some heavy duty nuts on the back and close it back up, but this seemed like aa good idea to me. I'm sure lots of you guys have fixed this problem, and I wouldn't mind you chiming in on how you guys did it aswell.
Anyway, just one off the last little details to getting my tri-z finally finished so I can start my 110, hope you like it.
