so as in my sig i have a auto x, with bassani exhaust, and uni airfilter. Im running stock air box with cover, but why do some people take off covers/make holes in them. also taking the cover off does it mess with your jetting at all? makein it leaner or richer.

I heard also for like a 185 like mine you can use a 200x carb for more power any info on that?

I have one of the 200x e-bay carbs on my auto-x and six holes drilled in the lid and id does let more air in to lean the mixture . I am also running a uni and I believe a 110 main jet

Main purpose to drill holes in airbox lid is to give it more air to improve power. You sometimes will have to up the jetting for more fuel. Also on the 200x carb on a 185 improves power, if it is larger in mm then it will again give the motor more air volume to make more power. You do these mods to change jetting and make more power not to lean out your bike. If you dont read your spark plug and rejet then you may eat your piston.

im so rich now on jetting if i let it idol/ putt around my yard instant foul of my plug, comes out black and wet as can be. also if that doesnt happen i will putt around a little then stomp on the gas and it will shoot out black smoke. I have the clip on the needle at the top and the air screw at 1 3/4, so ya its to rich
