Ok, so I spent around 6 hours last night lining the tank of a KLT 160. I used the POR-15 HD cycle tank repair kit. The HD kit has an extra bottle in it that will strip out old liners and build up. My tank was really bad, po had kreamed it and either didn't do it right or the stuff is junk! The stripper in the HD kit removes the liner so you can use the degreaser, and metal prep. trailprotrailpro lining it. Looong night, I now have to wait 4-5 days for the liner to cure. It looked pretty good this morning, a little pooling that I swirled around to spread out and hopefully this will do it. I had previously tumbled the tank in the dryer on air fluff with fish tank gravel to break up the rust, 3 hours in the dryer worked pretty good! I will let you know what i think when it is completely dry.

The pooling was a pain in the butt. I couldn't get it out through the petcock hole, so I let it all drain to the front and sucked the excess out with a wet/dry vac. My only mistake was not rinsing the vac out. haha

I saw your previous thread on the shop vac, but thought it would be a pain to clean. Your right about the petcock, doesnt let it all drain. if its still pooling when i get home i may just have to vac it out like you did! Is yours holding up ok? the kream coating that was in there was junk! all peeling and nasty, would have been easier if I didnt have to peel it all out, but still time consuming. Thanks for the info with the vac, I would not have thought about using one before I read your other post!

Just make sure you wash out the vac before it dries if you go that route. I would swirl it around, come back and tons of extra would be on the bottom. I did that for hours before I finally gave up! I'm pretty happy so far with the results. It's only been a couple weeks but no problems yet.
