What other carbs will work on an '85 tecate?
Like a KX 250 carb? What years and models will work?...The only carb I can find on ebay for my tecate looks like junk so I need some help with what will interchange carb wise.

Are you looking for a stock replacement? What's done to your Tecate, is it stock, ported? What do you wish to do with it? The 84 Tecate used a 32mm VM Mikuni carb, the 85 used a 34mm VM Mikuni carb. www.sudco.com sells any carb you could ever ask for.. I've always had good luck with Mikuni TM flat slide carbs.. The oem Keihin carb on the '86 250r seems to be a good carb..

Yea sudco has replacement everything. I run a stock round slide 38 vm mikuni. I hear the flat slide is a good carb. But yes you have options based on your set up

call sudco or go to sudco.com and check out the mikuni 38mm vm or the round slide... i always contact them through email and talk to someone live about my options before i buy... they will be able to help... if you can change to a keihin pwk.... easier to keep up on and easier to tune
