honda big red exhaust

iv been trying to find an aftermarket exhaust for my 83 big red 200. last year i picked up another big red 200 (84) and it has an aftermarket pipe that is loud, has no name on it and fits the model but isnt exact. whats a good aftermarket pipe that is loud and will fit my 83 BR 200. if i cant find on i might make it straight pipe and re-weld the anti spark tip back on. does any one know of a good exhaust and where i can order one. thanks.

I took a 400ex muffler (oem) and cut the front pipe off, and whacked the pipe off my SX exhaust, and grafted the SX pipe, and brackets onto the EX muffler... All Honda, and still has the spark arrestor... Sometimes you gotta get a little creative. Most of the aftermarket pipes are louder than stock...

Are you saying the 250sx headpipe is a no-mod "bolt on" with no problem. -you just have to get creative after the headpipe end?

No... This was done on my SX... Just an example of how I got around a scarce exhaust issue... My apologies for the confusion....

i checked out an older thread and found a good website that still references atc's. check out https://www.denniskirk.com/ . found a nice aftermarket pipe that will fit my 200e 83 big red. as of right now its out of stock but for now my pipe on it will hold out a bit longer.

just scored myself a DK muffler for my big red 200e. it was even a price chop and should be here by wednesday at the latest. cant wait to put it on and hear it run.
