Well- I picked up an old school custom 185s with some goodies-sorry no pics yet (its in pieces now). Anyway- heres the problem (one of them).... I need to know how and from what do I get wide piston rings that are 69.75mm ? The top ring is shattered -prior owner I guess forced the motor over (with stuck rings from sitting)-before selling it to me -errr!.....I cant see finding these wide rings alone so I'll need another piston/rings -right?-but how?
Also its a hi-comp. stroker piston but I'm unsure about the crank/stroke- when I measure the stroke it comes out to stock 58mm?-the rod has s10 427 stamped on the side-is it stock?:wondering......also the deck height is about 2mm - :wondering

Heres a little list of mods done (25+ years ago)..... Its not so pretty anymore:cry:. I'll get pics up eventually:lol::-I have more questions to ask
-late model SL90 front shocks? -(stuck & probably not saveable)
-PK? billet front clamps (gold anodized)
-PCCC turbo wheels (need resto)
-chrome & gold plating! (not so nice no more)
-fiberglass front/rear fenders (front cracked -rear is good)
-airbrushed custom paint on fenders (tank/art is gone)
-oil cooler mod
-big al's cam
-ported head
-???? really nice weld on rear suspension kit:naughty:- ....(I have questions...for another thread)
-PK 200X header?
-69.75mm piston (221cc if I'm correct-not sure on stroke):D
-case bored to 73mm
+ lookin to find a six pack rack:wondering
+ soon to have rear disc brake

-I thought I was in luck-but no 69.75x1.5mm closest I could get for the compr. rings is 70mm (I would have to bore & new piston too)
-for the oil ring closest size was 70.2?x 2.5mm (not sure if thats a miprint)....the thickness needed is not available in all sizes so-its gonna be tough to try to buy comp.rings, oil rings, & piston seperately & piece it all together.....I didnt know the thicknesses varied so much.-I'm not liking this.
