200x kickstarter wont move after clutch change

I just finished replacing my clutch on on my 84 200x. got it all buttoned up and the kickstarter will not move more than half an inch. I feel i have put something back wrong or out of alignment,but what could it have been? I did spin the kick shaft while i was replacing the cover ,could that of been where i went wrong? mind you this is my first clutch change on this bike so its still new to me.

Either you messed up the kicker gears or thrust washers or you didn't use a gasket on that tiny cover, it needs it.

Where's your service manual?? How did you torque everything?

as said above refer to service manual . there are 4 punch marks that you have to line up on the kick gears . was a real head scratcher before i looked it up my self ..lol

i appreciate the help! i got it all figured out. I rotated the shaft in the case too far forward when i slid it back on. The bike has not ran or moved for almost a year now.After i buttoned it up I gave her a couple kicks and she started right up! i love these old trikes they always work!Meanwhile my neighbors banshee is broke once again ! it almost seems like a weekly thing with his bike!
