I don't know much about it other than i was at a gentlemen's house and saw it in his woods. he claimed it ran but has a leaking gas tank (not sure if true or not). if i did get it to part out, what is part out worth?

he's the kind of guy where everything laying around is for sale. should i offer him anything or not worth much?

That was my first ATV as a kid. Dad bought one new the summer of '87. Some parts would interchange with the ATC I think. Can't be worth a whole lot though. I'd say $200 max if you plan to turn a profit at all. My guess is not a very educated one and just shooting from the hip here. I'd love to find one and restore it someday. Just seeing that little tank brings back a flood of great memories! Rode the tires off that machine, and it never really broke. It's a HONDA. This one still has the trunk lid too! Thanks for posting.

id start at 100 it might need a top end from sitting in the elements plus every bolt looks rusty but definitely worth it to save and restore or have as a rider

I think i'll offer him $75 and go up to $100 then. I just sold my 84 200S b/c I didn't want another project, but if i could flip this and sell for $300+, that would be worth it. May put some effort into getting it running and sell for more...??
I just hate to see complete things rotting in the woods...

Seems to me you could buy it for $100 and if you can't get it running you could still part it out, ebay if you must, and still make good money plus keep the tires for a diff bike or project.

ugh, offered him $100 and he refused. he wouldn't tell me what he wanted. said he was going to pull it out now and fix it up and get running, THEN sell. I pulled the seat off and found that the air box is missing the filter, and the tube going from box to carb is gone. gas tank not only leaks, but is covered in surface rust (too bad, looked like it would have been perfect a year ago). missing battery too.
i don't know, seemed like last couple years have been rough on it, and he said it was garage kept before that. what shame. i didn't offer any more than $100, but he said once he pulls it out and gets it running (this weekend he says) i can stop by and look again.
