I beat my 70 axle, and it just keeps going... Sounds like alot of work for little gain... (IMO)

I TOTALLY AGREE... i can build anything and i see no reason to cut the carrier out of a 70 frame ,,,

Kasey, that's RIGHTEOUS!!! Do those Ohtsus get decent grip in the sand? Or were you just roostin for a photo op?

I notice that picture is in the sand, not on hard pack dirt or hard pack dirt and rocks. If the man wants to change out is rear bearing carrier, let him. I do believe sand is a much more forgiving media in general, even though it can work much like sandpaper.

ok well let me ask you this, i have access to a machine shop that can make me a extended rear axel for free or should i get just new hubs with the off set or just off set wheels for a stock axel. and if i used offset hubs i would use off set wheels with it or should i?

Put wheel spacers on it and be done. Or you could put 300ex, 400ex or 450r hubs on it but then you would need different wheels and tires.
