I searched.... came up empty.

I have an 84 200es. Big Red.
Previous owner has welded up the front forks.

Will a complete 85 250es Big Red front fork assembly bolt up to my 200?

thanks in advance.

EDIT: I think i found most of the answers in the last post of this thread. I have Copied/Pasted below to make searching easier.

Ok, i have an 82 and 83 200 big reds. same as the 84es's. Now here what you want to do and will work, i knwo for a fact because it did it to mine, i also have an 83 atc200 and a 185s.

First things first, all teh big red models use 25" tires (25x12x9)
All the S models (200s and 185s) use 22" tires (22x11x8)

You CAN use any of the follwoing front ends with any of these trikes, the 185s, 200s, 83 atc 200, 200m and big reds up to 84. The 85 250es will not work, reason being the neck bearings are different sizes. But the other models will bolt up as far the neck goes. BUT, the front hub/ brake assemblies arent the same, as well as triples, triple tops, and fenders on them all.

The 83 atc200, and 200m which both use a 25" tire, also use the same front fenders, head lamps, axles, hubs/ brake panels.
The big red front ends, just throw them away. they are straight garbage and never will dampen, even if N.O.S.
The 185s and 200s, have the same hubs, brakes, head lamps, triples, tires, rims, etc. They are the same everything, but with a 22" tire.

Also, you must make sure u get the right axle for the hub/ forks. depedning with size tire/ front end u end up using will vary which axle u need.

I personally but front shocks from a 200s on my 185s, sense mine came with solid forks originally, and suspension is very nice to have.
My big red i tossed the forks and was extremely lucky enough to find a very nice set of 200m forks on ebay for just under 100 bucks, they can be sold for more than double that sense they are so rare and were only made for a couple years.

If i were you, look for 200m or the 83 atc200 forks, they both use the big 25" tires liek the big reds and are great shocks and are very easy to rebuild. Also, you can expect to sepnd about 200 bucks to do an entire swap out of the front end if you half way decent parts.
If you don't mind going from a 25" tire on the big red to a 22", then just get the 185s or 200s front end, they are easy to find and quite abundant. I used that on my big red till i was able to find some 200m forks. And no i aint selling the 200m forks, they are mine! lol.

Also, there are racks for al the ATC models, some are just harder to find. Any 200m parts as far as front ends are few in number.

I'm pretty sure the neck tube on the 250 is bigger so I don't think it will fit. I would look for a 200m front end myself.

Got the same problem, need new forks for my 200es, I have the front racks and all that on the front of mine, if I were to swap a 200m front end onto my big red would that stuff still bolt up? or would i loose it?

well since everyones asking, will a 250r fork work on a 84 200x?

Yes but the ones you want for that are the 83-84 250r's and you have to bore out the triples just slightly more then likely, the 81-82 250r wouldn't be an upgrade and the 85-86 250r's are the best but they have alot bigger diameter it can be done but doesn't leave much left of the triples

I'm very happy with the 350X front end on my 85 200X.

Use the Gen 2 250R triples rather than boring the 200X Triples.

Oh, and I've put an 85-86 250R front end (using the "R" triple clamps) in a 84-85 200X steering neck also.

Just my .02

Yes, you will need to bore your 200x stock tripples to 35MM holes and then you can use 83 or 84 250R downtubes, hub, wheel, etc.

WoW Sorry about my previous reply, I really didn't answer your question.

As per the Moose Racing steering stem bearing application chart. Howdy's correct about the 200ES and 200M being the same.

The 250ES bearing kit is a different number and the only thing that matches up is with a Gen 1 250R.

Hope that answers your question.

amazing info in here.
what i have figured out from all your input is...

82-85 200(e)s(m) forks are interchangable.
250es forks will work with boreing and hybrid/custom bearing setup.

anything else i am missing?

thanks again.

Will complete 350x forks fit in 85 250es? If so what year(s)? Or should I just go with 250sx forks?

i had the same fork problems with my 82 200E and here is what i found. (other than the fact that the steel leg fork setup sucks) the 82-83 200E and the 84 200ES are the exact same forks. any 200 forks will fit, but you will need the whole riggin'...forks, axle, brakes, hub, tire, wheel, etc...but they all have a 22 inch tires, so dropping tire sizes sucks. the 200M uses a 25 inch tire, but i dont believe it has a rack, so you would need to rig one up (i think). i was fortunate to score a good set of forks for m y 200E on ebay...i looked for 8 months before they appeared, so if you find some, scoff them up!
