What kind of Yamaha am I about to look at?

Hey guys, haven't been active around here in quite a while! I ran across an ad for a Yamaha 3 wheeler this morning for a great price, but no pics or real description. I called the guy up and was able to find out that it's yellow, electric and kick start, front suspension, unsure on rear suspension, needs a clutch cable, and sounded like it had an oil tank? I think it best describes a Tri-Z, but the electric start is throwing me off, but the 200E/225's didn't have a manual clutch or kick start, did they? My memory is getting rusty being out of the trike scene. I'm not able to look at it until tomorrow, but I'm curious what it actually is.

tri-z is the only kick i can think of maybe its got a goki aftermarket electric start on it? if they even made one for them.

The only Yamaha trike with a kickstart was (to my knowledge) the Tri-Z the rest were all recoil start or recoil/electric (200E and I believe all the 225's had electric), tri-z was also the only manual clutch offered from Yamaha, Z's didnt have oil injection so there would be no oil tank... so its sound like some combination of mis-information

sounds almost like a kawasaki since they had manual clutch, kick/electric start. but no oil tank. i think some had front suspension also. hard to say.

I don't think it's a Kawasaki since he said it was yellow, but it does sound like a bunch of different bikes. He did mention the clutch cable several times, so I'm kind of leaning towards a Z.

Well, I talked to him again and it for sure has electric, kick, and a clutch. He says he doesn't think it's a racing one since it has big tires, but I can't think of what might have that combo other then some goofy engine swap. Hopefully I'll be looking at it pretty soon here.

sounds like a kawi for sure the klt 250 had front shocks. not a yamaha for sure, or even a honda since that combo is only for kawi's. unless its a honda with a goki starter but more likely its a kawi since they came stock with that.

Turned out to be a Yamaha 200E in pretty sad shape. Better luck next time I guess.

How did he get clutch cable, kickstart, and oil tank for a 200E? No 200e has any of that. Some people just have absolutely no idea what they have, or what they are talking about.
