My son is interested in racing and I have another friend who has a 08 apex 70 race quad for sale. My son and I both rode it tonight and it rips! Question is how mush is it worth. He is the second owner and it was raced 1 season each by his daughter and the previous owners child. I dont know much about these quads. Any info would be much appreciated.
I dont know what an 08 is worth. Plus dont even know much about what kind of machines are competive in the quad racing scene. My son is 8 and currently rides a 2000 TRX90

Don't know if you will ever see this cause it's so old. Apex and DRR's are not something a lot of people encounter, So it is understandable no one had an answer for you..

First off, these things can EASILY have more money into them the a 450r. Does it have suspension? What kind? If you son is on a Honda 90 it will be a bit of a transition. He is at a age where he is fixing to be ready to race a 90cc apex/drr or Honda 90. These apex's use virtually the same engine as a Polaris scrambler. It cam be changed to a 90cc by just swapping the crank and the top end.

If he want's to race and you can get a good deal(4k for a race ready apex is a pretty good deal) I would snag it up. Depending on the rules and regulations of your racing association you can get some amazing power out of these bikes. If it's just to play and ride on, fix up your 90. At-least this way the little fella can get the hang of shifting.

If you ever need any info on parts or service for these things give me a call. 8324012227

Buy it. The Apex and DRR machines are the schnitz.
The 70's are beating the 90's. :)
