I have a 1984 Honda 200es that is a shaft drive and it smokes really bad. I also have a 1983 honda 200 big red chain drive with a good motor. I was wanting to see if you guys could tell me if i can take the chain drive motor and put it on my shaft drive frame. I would like to know if it is possible to swap out the parts to make it work. Both of these had been barn finds . Please help me with this. Thanks

It would be easyer to put the topend from the chain drive 200 on the es.Should swap right over. i believe they are the same topend.Good luck in what ever route you take.

I figured it would be easier to just do the top end swap, but i dont have the gaskets here and im afraid that it will take to long to get the gaskets here.lol Can't miss riding time on the weekends.
