Hi guys, Im working on my 85 350x. I got to the rear caliper, and it looks real rough. The piston is stuck, and the threads are stripped out on the brake bleed screw, and the screw is gone. One of the bolts is snapped off on the parking brake area, and that part for the parking brake is gone also. The resovoir is also busted, but the master cylinder seems ok. Are there any other bikes with the same rear master cylinder? Im really wanting to get one on there, and see how far I can do a wheelie, and in what gear, just in case I go a little too far! haha. I picked this thing up a little over a month ago. It has been sitting for 15 years before I got it, but I have already stuck a ton of cash and labor into it real quick. It really adds up fast no doubt about that, but I dont regret it for a second. It runs pretty good now, but still needs a little fine tuning. I have been wrenching on trikes for years, and really enjoy it to be honost with you. --- Jon.

The rear from a 300EX works as long as you use the bracket from your 350x. I bought one fro East Coast ATV on Ebay for 100.00 shipped, it comes loaded with pads, a new banjo bolt and sealing washers, just bolt it on and bleed it.

I seen on ebay you could get a new 350x caliper for 100 also, but I thought that was a lot. Im used to working on cars, where you can get a new caliper for about 50 bucks, is a lot bigger, and will last for 300,000 miles. I may have to pull the trigger, but am looking for somthing cheaper first, like a good working used one. Thanks, I now know a 300ex will work. Any others?

I have one of those ebay calipers on my 350x. Fits great, and works great.

trx250x/300ex. hard to find a decent used one for cheap, and by the time you buy one that needs rebuild, with rebuild kit, pads, your probably close to 100.00 anyway!! no one wants to rebuild them, thats why good working used systems fetch well over 100 bucks on ebay!

I shouldn't even be suggesting this since I'm not 100%, but the caliper on my Banshee looks identical to the 350x. I have never tried to bolt them up but maybe someone else has given it a try.

I have a 350x caliper on my banshee. They are the same caliper.

So many of them fit, or can be told to do so!!

Allot of them merely need a bracket change, others just need a spacer/washer.

Thats just the single piston ones that are like the front fork calipers. A little more work and a dual piston fits.

My 86 200X had a banshee caliper on it when I bought it. Just one single pivot (stock) and a piece of angle iron made it happen! :beer

You guys are so much better that the NBC or No Brake Club

^ Of course not (look how his 85 bracket is mounted near vertical) , if that were the case it would be a 350X bracket and a caliper.

As I said, you may have to make some mods own your own but they all have the basic function.

If it were me, I'd be finding a way to get a TRX450R caliper on there so you'll have parts for 20 years.......
