Ok the big red i got not that long ago, i want to clean up the rear fenders due to getting a VERY good front fender, But the rear fenders and pinkish from the fading whats the best way and FASTEST to get them cleaned up and looking red, i dont wanna paint them red becuz with the trees they are gonna chip and its gonna look kinda weird, Im also gonna throw rattle can rhino liner under them so the red is alot darker and looks cooler, so which would be the best way to remove the fading off the fenders.

Your best bet would be to wet sand the fenders with 2000 grit sandpaper then buff with a synthetic wool bonnet/pad with a drill or buffer. There is no real quick way of doing this, the sun has faded the top layer of the plastic . If the fenders were exposed to the sun long enough then there maybe no way of bringing back the color. The only way to bring back the color is to sand off the surface of the plastic. IMO .. NOTE: You may have to use a rougher grit sand paper , start with 800 then to 1000 to 1500 to 2000

heat gun. dont hold in one place, move slowly at about 4-6 inches. It willl melt the very top few microns and get shiny. wont be perfect but gets it red. if you want perfect. sand forever, and buff.

i dont really care to much about it being perfect, the bikes a mud bike its always gonna be dirty but right now the fenders are badly faded, I use som steel pad my dad had there and it started taking alot of the white off but that crap is super think, so i just bought some sandpaper and im gonna work on getting them a little bit better then what they look now.143263
This is the bike the day i bought it and how the fenders looked.

yeah.. heat gun will fix that. way less effort than sanding.
